How Does E Liquid Work?

E Liquid is the term used to describe the nicotine that is in electronic cigarette cartridges. Many of the electronic cigarette manufacturer’s cartridges are not meant to be refilled, however, many people choose to refill their old e-cig cartridges instead of continuing to purchase new ones to reduce waste and minimize cost. You can also find e liquid in a greater number of flavors than what your manufacturer may sell. When e liquid is dripped onto your e-cig atomizer directly, the act is referred to as “dripping.”

What Ingredients Are in E Liquid?

At the time of this writing, there were only a few e liquid producers world-wide that sell their products through resellers or suppliers. As a result, the composition of their products is very similar. Typically, the e liquid mixture contains nicotine in liquid form, food-grade propylene glycol (PG) or vegetable glycerine (VG), and a flavoring mixture. PG and VG are the components in e liquid that are used to produce a vapor when the e liquid is vaporized.

Nicotine Strength in E Liquid

Similar to electronic cigarette cartridges, e liquid can be purchased with varying levels of nicotine. The nicotine strength typically ranges from 0 mg to 36 mg per ml in the container. When you handle e liquid, you have to remember to treat the substance as dangerous since nicotine is poisonous and can cause harm to children or pets.

What Flavors Does E Liquid Support?

It depends on the manufacturer. You generally want to get at least a traditional tobacco flavoring for your e liquid in order to taste the e-cig since nicotine and Propylene Glycol or Vegetable Glycerine do not have a taste or smell associated with them in vapor form. Some of the flavors that are available with e liquid include tobacco, menthol, coffee, vanilla, almond, mint, clove, chocolate, peach, peach cobbler, banana, cherry, and strawberry.

How Much E Liquid Equals a Pack of Smokes?

The exact amount of E Liquid solution that equates to a packet of cigarettes varies. Generally 1 ML of e liquid will give an average smoker the equivalent of one packet of cigarettes. This will vary based on the size of your e-cig and the amount you inhale on your vapor smoke.
